On Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th July the Leeds Waterfront Festival will take place along the waterfront in Leeds from Thwaite Mills, Clarence Dock, Brewery Wharf and this year, extending to include Granary Wharf as well. Leeds residents and visitors can come along for free and enjoy the event which has something for everyone. In particular Clarence Dock will hosts an arts market, live music, walk on water balls, decorated canal boats, Radio Aire comperes, aerial performances from Urban Angels and much more. The festival is organised and supported by a number of private and public organisations including: Leeds City College, Clarence Dock, Granary Wharf, City Inn, Rushbond, Welcome To Yorkshire, Aire Action Leeds, British Waterways, Leeds City Council, Yorkshire Water, Environment Agency and more. It offers a great opportunity to showcase all the waterfront has to offer. Angela Brennan, marketing manager at Lend Lease, developer and owner of Clarence Dock comments: “As an integral part of Leeds waterfront, we were keen to be involved with the festival again this year. It not only provides a great platform for local musicians, performers and artists to showcase their talents but encourages visitors and residents to explore the beautiful Leeds waterfront taking advantage of the free events.” Thwaites Mill will offer a great family day out on Saturday 17 July , with free entry to the working watermill, arts and crafts, historic boats and environmental discover and play activities. On the Sunday the watermill will be open as usual. In the city centre at Clarence Dock, Brewery & Granary Wharf there will be lots to see and do, including live music, Radio Aire, cookery workshops and demos, Urban Angels aerial display, interactive art exhibitions, urban markets, walk on water balls, Civic Trust guided walks, food and drink offers, and lots more!
