Kimberly Walsh At Clarence Dock

Girls Aloud star helps raise thousands for charity High-Heel-a-thon.

Clarence Dock was the venue for the UK’s first ever High-Heel-a-thon on 27 September with hundreds of fundraisers completing the 1.24 mile journey in sexy stilettos.

Accompanying the tottering beauties was Yorkshire’s very own singing superstar Kimberley Walsh - who donned her own pair of heels to help raise money for the Breast Cancer Haven charity.

Kimberley, the new ambassador for Breast Cancer Haven, was out in full force at the High-Heel-a-thon, looking stunning in her pink outfit whilst completing the whole walk effortlessly.

The UK’s first High Heel-a-thon began outside Breast Cancer Haven in Leeds with the 1.24 mile route navigating around Clarence Dock, with stunned onlookers getting swamped in a sea of pink feather boas, stilettos and a flurry of press activity!

Not satisfied in being left out, dozens of men, dressed in a variety of colours, also donned their heels to take part in this unique event. Cross dresser Ian ‘Susan’ Platt, 51, was the winner of the highest-heel prize after managing to complete the course in his 10-inch stilettos - winning £150 in Moda in Pelle vouchers.

For all those unlucky ones who missed out on the action you can still show your support and make a donation by following the Just Giving link on our High-Heel-a-thon website - www.highheelathon.co.uk.
